FROM TRAUMA TO TRIUMPH: MY TEDx JOURNEY

Taking Sparkle to the Southbank. WOW is one of my favourite words. I declared to myself that I was going to speak at WOW and then it happened.


My 60th birthday weekend started with winning the Most Inspirational Award at the Landmark hotel. Not a bad start to a new season.


This was the first time I met Dame Emma Thompson and this picture is powerful. I will forever remember what she said to me. She said: you are so inspirational. It is great to see real people win awards.

I feel this is largely due to your enthusiasm not only about teaching and entrepreneurship but also about seeing students succeed. I will definitely remember you and this class.
